The Bachelor Contributors

Reed W. Mathis

Editor-in-Chief

Reed Mathis is currently a senior at Wabash College, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Classics & Economics. With previous roles as Online Editor and News Editor, Reed aims to bring a forward-thinking, more digitally focused approach to The Bachelor for the upcoming year. When he is not working or doing schoolwork, Reed enjoys spending time with his brothers at Phi Delta Theta as Social Chairman, watching some of his favorite tv shows and movies, and always having tea next to him. Although he does not know what is ahead of him after Wabash, he knows that living in a big city and traveling is at the top of his list for the immediate future.

Cooper E. Smith

Cooper is a junior studying political science, history, and Spanish. After Wabash, he hopes to attend law school and become a public interest lawyer. When he isn’t writing, you can find him brewing coffee, reading, or belting along to his favorite musicals.

Alexandru Mircea “Alex” Rotaru

Managing Editor

Alex is a Senior majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Gender Studies from Bucharest, Romania. He is now serving his third editorial term, after being the Assistant Copy Editor and Opinion Editor. During his time, he has focused on developing diversity initiatives that have led to the publication’s strong culture and staff diversity. He is one of the most recognizable faces on campus, always actively participating in campus life – particularly enjoying (and usually covering) Wabash Lacrosse. Whenever he finds time, he loves to let his mind loose with some creative writing, much of it inspired from avant-garde literature. He always welcomes talking to anyone and getting to know new people, particularly over a hearty meal or a cup of cold coffee.
